Izumi · Ishikawa East Lantern Audit Office

About

An audit office rooted in Ishikawa’s trading and manufacturing economy

East Lantern Audit Office was founded to give closely held companies a local partner for statutory financial audits— someone who will stand in the warehouse during inventory counts and still sit with the board when the report is ready.

Why “East Lantern”

Along the Japan Sea coast, lanterns once marked safe harbours after dark. We chose the name as a reminder that an audit should illuminate balances and disclosures—not overwhelm finance teams with jargon or surprise findings at the last hour.

Our practice sits at 176 S West Street in 泉村, 石川県. From here we travel to Kanazawa, Komatsu, and neighbouring prefectures when inventory observation or cash counts must happen on site.

How we work with finance teams

Planning before sampling

We map material accounts, related parties, and seasonal peaks before we request a single ledger extract. That map drives the confirmation list and the warehouse visit schedule.

Findings without theatre

Adjustments and control observations are shared as they arise. Closing meetings summarise what changed in the statements and what remains management’s judgement.

Independence first

We do not prepare the books we later audit. Bookkeeping, tax filing, and management accounting stay with your accountant; our role remains assurance.

People you will meet

Engagements are led by a registered audit partner with experience in manufacturing, wholesale, and family holding structures. Field staff include seniors who rotate between inventory observation, receivables testing, and disclosure drafting.

When your group auditor sits in Tokyo or Osaka, we coordinate working-paper packages so component work lands on time— without asking your controller to translate every schedule twice.
